To the bike thief in Oakmont: I hope you are enjoying your new, orange, Jamis Trail 1x2 bike. You certainly put some effort into stealing it, coming into our backyard and then breaking into our shed.

It belonged to my son and was his birthday present this year after having his last bike stolen in the fall. Maybe you took that one too? Maybe you're also the one who beat up our Christmas snowmen, egged the house, broke into our locked truck, or stole our neighbour's Canada flag and pole.

I now understand why one neighbour recently installed security cameras on their house. If you have a change of heart and decide to return the bike, you know where we live.
