Dog walker deserves thanks
A huge thank you to the lady out walking with her Jack Russell, Archie. I was out walking my Doberman Jessie, when she somehow escaped from her leash. As she’s not yet a year old, her training is ongoing. Sit and come did not register for her with this newfound freedom.
After calling her and running for a few blocks, I started to panic as we got closer to a busy road. I saw this lady across the road scoop up her dog and freeze. I let her know that the scary looking dog running circles around her would not hurt her. This lady then put her dog down and tried to entice Jessie to her.
As anyone who has been in this type of situation would expect, my dog did the sneaky crouch and weave about half a dozen times before I could finally grab hold of her collar. If it hadn’t been for this kind lady and her brave Archie, I’m sure our night would have had a very unhappy ending.
If we cross paths again, I’ll have a pocket full of treats for you, Archie!
