Car wash doesn't belong in residential area
Imagine my surprise when I was picking up milk at my local convenience store. The parking lot of the local strip mall was torn apart and chain link fence surrounds it. Hmmm ...
Are they putting in a green space to replace what we lost on Arlington Drive? No such luck. When I inquired as to what was going on I was informed that a 15-bay car wash was being built there.
You have got to be kidding. On a busy night when the local bar is hopping there aren’t even 15 parking spaces to be found. How lovely for the residents living on Akins Drive. The view from their front windows will be interesting. I wonder how much their properties will be affected by this new business.
I don’t know about any of my neighbours, but if I would’ve known this business was coming into my neighbourhood, I for one would’ve welcomed the head shop that was driven out. I think I’m going to have to start smoking a lot of weed to deal with the decisions that this city council is making.
A 15-bay car wash does not belong in a residential neighbourhood. Green spaces and parks and updated sidewalks, however, would be most welcomed.
