Where is this micromanaging leading us?
How ridiculous will this council get with Mayor Crouse at the helm? May I suggest cutting down all the trees and brush in our parks where the youth go to smoke their pot, or shut down every convenience store that sells rolling papers or cans of tobacco that are obviously used to smoke up.
How about fining all the big box stores if they continue to sell butter knives that are used to hot knife drugs, or appliance stores that supply the ranges to burn the stuff on. All of this is on the Internet for anyone to look at. Let’s ban the Internet in St. Albert while we’re at it.
I am 100 per cent against drug use, but Mr. Mayor, you cannot micromanage everyone and everything. We as parents are given the ultimate responsibility to steer our kids the right way. I only write this because you and council crossed the line ... again, in trying to defame someone’s character to justify your crusade.
People are still assumed innocent until proven guilty and bringing the smoke shop owner’s personal issues into account for public viewing was wrong. Maybe you can explain your intentions to all of us so we can better understand your tactics.
Will you be micromanaging the RCMP as well now? This has the same smell of arrogance as the letter you wrote to the prime minister, a letter that was your opinion and not that of the residents of St. Albert, yet you felt right in using city letterhead to write it on.
I am starting to see that Mayor Nolan Crouse, in his second term, answers to no one. This mayor has become a crusading nightmare. Please don’t beg for a third term.
Todd Murray, St. Albert
