PrintIn praise of the St. Albert Rugby Football Club
For the last couple of years, in the spring, the St. Albert Rugby Club has had a fundraiser program. Their particular form of fundraising has been to offer up their services to do spring cleanup/yard work.
This year my wife and I opted in. We have a fairly big yard, with large trees and lots of leaves and small branches blown down into the flower beds and across the lawn. This past Sunday, four strong men armed with rakes and bags and lawn-cutting machines arrived and made short work of what would have taken me quite some time to accomplish. They cleaned flower beds of debris, raked under the hedges and cut the lawn. And they hauled it all away to the composting facility (my small car thanks them; it doesn't like being turned into a pickup truck). I was very impressed with the speed and quality of the service, and feel they are well worth the modest fee they asked. Thank you, gentlemen!
